Subpanel in garage

Wanting to install a 100 amp subpanel from a 200 amp main panel in garage. Just wondering what size wire and conduit is needed.
 
It could be 3” conduit with 3/0 copper.
Depends on the load, voltage and distance.
We are not allowed to assist DIYers per forum rules.
