Thru-out the electrical industry the term subpanel is used. I think by the definition of a feeder the correct term would be feederpanel. Any comments?

Neither of these terms are defined. You also will not find the definition of 'load center' or 'panel'. What you are discussing is slang usage and the slang is normally only applicable in your area. If you wish to use the proper terminology, use switchboards, panelboards, control board, and distribution boards. In the case of service equipment, 'switch gear' is not defined but enclosed service equipment is proper.

To address your question, I would use the term downstream panelboard or a similar defined term. :)

I agree with Charlie,

feederpanel is just as much an undefined term as sub-panel.

The only terms the NEC recognizes would be power panelboard and lighting and appliance branch circuit panelboard, and even those terms have been eliminated in the 2008 NEC and been combine into the term panelboard.
