This should be quick and painless. House built in the early 80's. Back then POCO supplied us with the meter bases and a 2" RMC riser with a kick on the bottom.

My first thought was, "Who put that machine bolt right through the 2" EMT?"


One does not normally see the plastic bushings inside a meter socket once it's all buttoned up.

Hard to tell, but is that compresser installed in front of some 'lectrical stuff?

No, nice 30" clearance.
 
No lock on the meter ring?

Not that that would be an NEC issue....

I'm curious about the elec panel on the far side of the meter, with what appears to be a line set coming out of the bottom.....

Possibly no locknut inside the meter socket.
