I have a controls contractor that is installing (6) strand fiber in an existing utility tunnel on existing j-hooks that are 6'-0" on center. I could not find anything in Article 770 that stated the support requirements for this cable. Can someone point me in the right sirection?
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Support Of 6 Strand Fiber Optic Cable

You won't find support requirements for LV cable or OF in the NEC. It's not a safety issue.

What I would do is go to the manufacturers literature for support requirements for the particular cable you are using.

That said, if it is what I think it is I would run it in innerduct and space my supports closer than 6' to minimize sag without putting it in tension.
