Normally use CH panels and CH Ultra surge protectors, but I'am on a remodel that already had QO panels installed. Want to go ahead and use the Ultra surge protectors and really the only place to mount them is inside the panel. I have not seen the after effects of one that has preformed it job, should I be concerned about the the contents on the interior of the panel?

Just use the one that clips on the hot buss like a two pole breaker

QO surge breaker states that it doesn't cover various electronics. I have 3 QO panels in the residence along with a GE 600 amp MDP bolt on bussing. All panels are flush mounted, the leads on the ultra are not long enough for it to be mounted top or bottom. Using a flush mount kit is not an option because of other equipment mounted beside. Indicator lights are an issue, but what happens to the surge protector when it does its job,?
