If you have a pool that has low voltage (12V) LED lights, and the lights have non-metallic flex liquid tight run from them to a transformer in an enclosure, how would you comply with 680.24(E) [2008]? How or what would you use for strain relief that would connect the liquid tight to the enclosure?

The lights have a cord with +/- conductors. The cord is what is in the liquid tight. The lights are not in a forming shell. I suppose you would call them a "through the wall" type light.

Would 680.24(E) even apply here?

I think they mean a cord grip type strain relief. The junction box/transformer enclosure is about 65' from the pool. It is mounted on a post. Do you think a potting compound would be required for the box since it is low voltage, up on a post, and that far from the pool?

I forgot to add that I don't think these lights require removal to re-lamp them. Would a strain relief be necessary in this case?
