Can the convenience outlet for a swimming pool as defined by 680.22(3) be on the same circuit as the receptacle for the pump?

I cannot find anything in the code to prevent this.

Frank, 680.22 (a)(3) Requires the convenience outlet to be "on a general purpose branch circuit". To me the pump circuit is not a general purpose branch circuit. In my opinion I think the intent is that the outlet would not be allowed on the same circuit as the pump.

Thank you. I know it is generally not on the same branch circuit, but I wanted to find it in the code book.
