Sounds like Ful's foresight may have gotten him a license to print money, if he can do it efficiently enough!
three things.... flat rate pricing, light switch response time, and luck.
i did a medical office yesterday, the tech programming the wattstopper
system passed his -AT test, but hasn't had his license number issued
yet, so he can't certify the job, so i did it. he and i were chatting as
he flashed EEPROM room controls, and this thing is rolling end over end
with people trying to keep up with it. his shop is about 90 sparkies,
almost entirely tenant improvement suite work, and he's the only tech
they have, and he's working his butt off to keep up. nice guy, smart.
i was able to show up on christmas eve to bless the install, so they
could get a final tomorrow and a certificate of occupancy so they can
move in on the weekend.
i have two more to do this next week, one on monday morning at 8:15 am
and one tuesday evening at 6 pm. the monday morning one is crucial,
as the inspector is showing up for final in the afternoon, and they are
working 24/7 since the 20th on a store remodel.
we shall see how this turns out, but it looks like i have four builders
as clients, and given who they are, next year will be insanely good.
i'm crossing my fingers, and working my ass off.
truth is, my life is blessed on many levels.
