I am doing a design build on a new Alzheimer's building and will going to plan review with the AHJ the first of the week.
In Article 100 the definition of a dwelling unit includes "permanent provisions for cooking."
The individual units do not have permanent provisions for cooking but there is a full kitchen that maybe used by anybody. It is my understanding that the daily meals will be brought over from the assisted living building's kitchen which is next door on the same property.
Would you apply Table 220.44 to the load calculations or would you consider these as dwelling units? I think that the individual units should be considered as dwelling units. What do you think?
