can a #2al. ser(xhhw) conductor in a single family dwelling -from a 200amp main panel to a 125amp sub-panel be protected with a 100amp breaker
table 310.15(B)(6) or do you need to derate because of 75c breaker terminal ?

310.15(B)(6) can not be used since you are feeding a sub-panel that does not carry "all loads that are part or associated with the dwelling unit"
Since it's an SER cable, then ampacity could be 75 amp or 90 amp depending on which Code is being enforced, where it is being installed (insulation or not) and the AHJ's mindset on 338.10(B)(4)

I think Gus meant 60C or 75C-- 90C would be for derating only

OK Gus. That is the 2nd mistake you have made since joining in 2005. Are you just testing the rest of us?
Lets just knock it off. :D
