This table does make sense in that it applies to determining percent of motor NAMEPLATE FULL LOAD CURRENT FOR OTHER THAN CONTINUOUS MOTORS but yet in contradiction it list a column for percentage of FLC for CONTINUOUS rated motors?

The table isn't for Other Than Continuous MOTORS. It's for Other Than Continuous DUTY.

Does your knowing that place you in a category above big league ? :)
Does asking this mean that you are all knowing? I believe the journeyman’s test is mostly open book because of the 1000s of codes and areas that some do not work in.

Big league = big transformers, high voltage and some line work. What category are you?

So continuous motor as on for more than 3 hours at full loaded current vs continuous duty or duty cycle on/ off cycles 100.% on time still is ambiguous on NECs part

He is an Umpire! :)
Yes and some of us here did not have the privilege of jobs paying for our schooling nor have the money for formal education.

I am 90% self educated. I cannot afford school so I have been buying electrical books cheap online, some out dated but still cheap nevertheless. I gained enough knowledge to land a job as an industrial and residential electrician but as others have done this for 30 years or more still acknowledge they do not know some areas of code.

There are some big, big, league players here and I acknowledge that I would not make it as a pimple on their ass despite 6 decades in the industry

And I have a license with the federal communications commission central electronics tech association with 20 years in Direct Current working on automotive gas and diesel computers and solid state electronics would you consider yourself big league here.

Could you hook up a lab scope to troubleshoot transistor faults or 60,000 volt primary ignition pattern abnormalities or troubleshoot communication network systems, check engine lights or analyze exhaust emissions CO, HC, Nox to find a mechanical or electrical fault, MVAC heating and air cert & smog licensed, ASE l1 advanced level certified, not to mention residential and industrial electrical and line work while being self taught? Just because you know one area of electrical doesn’t mean you mastered them ALL!!!

Bring it down, no need in further comments along these lines. Back on subject please!
A varying duty type motor but continuous rated motor

This description is ambiguous for the question below
