Jeez people. Get out in the field and TRY it. You can't learn everything from books.

Thats right, your the only guy here who has worked with PVC in the field.

And you right you can't learn everything from books but you can learn a lot.

The fact that you disagree with the people that make the products in question is really funny though.

How does tamper proof screws help ? Anyone stealing power would simply buy the screw driver.Solved nothing.

Good point, I've used tamper proof screws while wiring a womens prison.
But they obviously had no way to the hard ware store.

I'll just grind the heads down. And use pvc glue to melt it together. I may have to remove the gasket or not.

Why not, it's service work and I would assume you would be paid accordingly, I know I would.

I don't thinK like that....never have. Seems like a waste of resources. I feel the need to work as efficiently as possible and I just chuckle when I see people struggle and do things the hard way.

I can't help how smart I am. If the manufacturer of rigid coupling said they were only for coupling rigid pipe, would you agree with them?

:deadhorse

this whole requirement is stupid, because if someone is going to steal from the power company a couple of tack welds wont deter them, they will just grind the cover off and re-weld a new cover when they were done:roll:

And the LBs go into a wireway, a whole lot more room to steal in the wireways.

I just do not beleive how many people will argue over who is right or wrong on this "Forum". I just simply mention sidejobs and got thrown in the tank and now over a L.b. how can this be right?

Yeah, it's right. Fun too.

Why when everyone is right or wrong ? Who is right or wrong in this when new guy's are on here and maybe trying to learn something new . Here some of the things that are said will never fly in Colo. so who is right then you or the " Inspector".

That is not the same thing at all.

Whats happening here is more like the manufacturer of rigid coupling saying they make the coupling from a steel alloy and you saying no they don't.

I will stop here, we will remain in disagreement and live happy lives anyway. .....but I'm right
