Give this man a prize!!

Should have known Iowa would come so close. You are scary.

It is on a dairy and this is supposed to block the ground currents that were detected by "witching". Have to admit his rods did not react after this was installed. The - is connected to the GEC with the + to the antenna. The photo cell and contactors reverse the polarity at dawn/dusk.

The battery will not need charging because the protons and electrons will keep it charged. I forget how, it was over my head. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

This is supposed to raise milk production within 24 to 48 hours.

Only because I've seen a similar set up not too far from here. Only it actually was to capture & use stray voltage. #10 wire was stapled to the top of wood fence posts along a path parallel to some 45kv lines, and the transformer was able to convert the stored voltage of the #10 down to 240volts. Go through a switch, two 120v bulbs.... free lights!

I'll contact you on what I want to have you send me for my prize....

We know ground currents are a problem. A year ago, when virtually all power was lost in this area due to an ice storm, the dairy ran on portable tractor driven power. They expected production to go down due to animal stress. Production was up for that time period and then returned to normal after power restoration.

We also can verify this with typical power quality checks and have a pretty good idea where the on farm problems are. I have finally been given the go ahead to correct those with the support of the very same guy who installed this ____.

Where I start to cross my eyes is when the divining rods are pulled out and this equipment is connected. The worst of it is 5 of 7 people ate it up. One of the other two was the guy shoveling. Back to reality, 10 lbs of milk production per cow per day amounts to tens of thousands of dollars profit per year even for this small dairy.

The trick on my part is timing. The line filters for hi frequency did not improve milk production. Returnable. Now this is installed. I will give it a few days & see how production rates are & if no improvement, it gets canned. Then we correct the on farm ground loops. We need to verify just what helped because that to invoves $10s of thousands.

Just venting.

Thanks

Who did the fancy wiring to the transformer? The incoming line/load is supposed to be below the the tops of the coils inside.

Part of the ground loop problem as well.

When this building went up several years ago the AHJ stopped by and told the owners they needed to have permit & inspection. He was known to have the tact and bedside manner of a Grizzly so that set off a PM. The local AHJ was overuled by the State Director. Family owned Ag buildings regardless of size are not required to have inspection. They now wish they had allowed the inspection.

Milk production has not increased since installation of "whatever it is".

Ground loops that we know of are now corrected.

So far we have found, and corrected, immediate problems with:
4 fixtures
1 pop machine
1 home made extension cord to refrigerator
1 exhaust fan
1 fan speed control
2 garage door openers

Hope they pay.
