I know tamper-resistant receptacles are required in areas where the public has access i.e. corridors, patient rooms, waiting areas, toilets. But I am confused about the requirements in those areas, does anyone know if they are required here?
- Reception desk
- Staff lounge in a hospital
- Staff private office
- Locker rooms for staff
- Triage rooms, anterooms
- labor rooms / operation rooms
Thanks!

406.12(5) is where you want to look.

Business offices are listed there, but I would say not required in a private staff office. If it’s a consult office, you would need them.

Labor & delivery room is the only one I’m not certain on. It’s not unusual for children to be in those rooms visiting. I browsed quickly through 517 and didn’t see anything referencing 406.12 though.
