Very much as we do it but how do you find enough ko's in an 80 cir panel. Also they re not much larger than a 40 circuit panel
MWBCs, of course.

End entry only (hate the hacks that enter sides of loadcenters with cables, occasional raceway is OK at times) there isn't enough room for even 40 circuits in just one end of 14.5 inch wide loadcenters with NM cables.

You could add a junction box or wireway then nipple to the panel, but might consider the extra cost of that vs going with a real panelboard in a 20 inch wide cabinet, might somewhat even out in the end, looks less cobbled and more like a professional installed it when all finished as well.

Low bid tract housing or similar don't matter you are not using QO or CH you are using Homeline, BR, Siemens, or GE plug on breakers only, but probably won't need more than 40 circuits either.
