I found a system on the internet that will not allow water to come out of the fixture until it reaches the desired temp. It's like the loop with the circulating pump but it doesn't run constently.

Yes that sounds like the system that I installed but it only takes like ten seconds to heat up. Very very nice system:cool:
 
We have changed a few burned metercans for people that install the electric tankless heaters. I done see how you can get the three fourty amp circuits out of a typical 150 or 200 amp panel without expecting something to fail.
 
OK tank-less are cool and very energy effecient..yet down sides are the coils are very small in diameter so it can heat water quickly..so water quality is an issue hard well water means there is a self life to the heater..not like and element you can take out and clean..they require service like the high efficient furnaces..they max-out at 6 gallons a minute..these are just some of the issues..

we have gone to hot water heater that run of of munchkin boilers or peerless and they are 99% effecient..boile gives us double duty and one burner apparatus to maintain and the hot water recovery is incredible..you can totally monitor your tank..the munchkin and peerless are both programmable the control is cool..
