Tap a #14 off a 3/0 Run....

ilsco makes a multi-tap fitting that may work.

i've used some that, if i remember correctly, were 4/0-to-#4.

if they don't have one that will drop to #14, you might could use a reducer past the tap fitting.


the ones i ordered were a two-piece design; it could be attached to an already installed conductor. it had a smaller lug attached to the side for your tap conductor.

the POCO wants us to tap the 5th jaw off the B phase...

Maybe I could help if I had any idea of what you are talking about.:confused:

Are you referring to the potential tap in the drawing?

thanks brant...i didn't think to check if the insulation piercing taps went down small enough....Ilsco ICP-4/0-6 will take a 3/0 run and a #14-#6 tap...

that'll work...but I like the screw better.......

You think that PSE&G would at least be able to correctly label their drawing. It certainly doesn't look like an "underground" service to me. :rolleyes:
