TC cable

I've seen type TC cable (multi-conductor in one sheath) used in a couple of docks. These docks are wood framed structures with floats on the bottom and decking on the top. Although from a safety standpoint I don't see anything wrong with this, I'm not so sure it is code compliant.

Your thoughts please.

I didn't do a good job of explaining. The cable is installed in the dock framing so it is covered with decking. Very little or no sunlight exposure. I think it has a sunlight rating too (I'd have to go back and check).

The problem I see is with 336.12(2), it is not installed in a cable tray system. I'm assuming the dock framing could not be called a cable tray system.
