Can a Class 1 div 2 motor contain arc and sparking devices and still maintain its class rating?

A TEFC motor in Class I, Division 2 area does not require any approval labeling for classified areas UNLESS it contains heat producing or arcing components. In that case the component may have its own rating and the motor remains un-rated. At one point Reliance produced motors that were labeled for Cl.I, Div. 2 with a T-rating, but I believe they have abandoned that and it is no longer marketed as such.
IEEE 1349- Electric Motors in Hazardous Locations has been in the process for the past 5 years to address this but have not seen any concrete results yet.
