Hello. Was given this info to work up a budget. Bringing intemp service from Con Ed utility. What doesn’t make send is when we step it downat the 300kva xfrmr they want a 800A trans S cabinet. This mean that theconnected load can’t be more than 800A, correct? Essentially our temp service is 800A according to below, correct? Think we need much more than 800Afor the temp loads thus the reason I'm asking. Thanks.

  1. Provide (6) 30' utility poles.
  2. Provide 450 linear feet of 2/0 15KV Triplex Cable Con Ed Spec EO-7555 + Messenger
  3. Receive at the property line (1) 300KVA 4KV Delta Pri - 208/120V & Ser & Connect Same on a concrete pad by others.
  4. Provide (1) 800A Trans S Cabinet Comb 800AS & CT Cabinet 250V NEMA 3R

xfmr rated I at 208 ~ 830 A
they can probably push it to 1000-1200 range, maybe more depending on load profile
you need to tell what load you want if 800 is not enough
