I was referencing the OSHA CFR1929. I couldnt find the requirments regarding the placement of temporary recepticals. I was told no extention cord can be run more than 100FT. Could someone please tell me where to research this. Thank you very much.

Just ask for a code reference in writing. The NEC code is mostly designed to tell us what we can't do.See 210.19(aA(fpn #4) Now here is the clincher go to 90.5(C).

Unless there is a local code adapting, or accepting, such verbage, it's not an NEC issue.

OSHA supersedes the NEC?doesn?t it? I thought perhaps there was an article in a reference material that I didn?t have, or perhaps in a NFPA text. Thank you for your time and feedback Rockyd.

That's probably true, since most of them max out at 100 feet long. To go 200 feet, you'd have to plug a second cord into the first one. ;)
