Ten circuit backup generator subpanels

Our area has been having a lot of power outages due to high winds. I don't see a problem installing. These on older homes put on new homes with art faults and gfci breakers, installing this type of device would create a code violation because it now is bypassing the arc fault and GFCI breakers.
What would be a solution? Interlock, kits do not protect the panel from backfeed from solar.

Install a subpanel that accepts the required breakers with a transfer switch.
That subpanel, but with an interlock as it sounds like they have a portable Gen based on "first choice". Fixes concern of solar back feed and AFCI/GFCI potential. A subpanel with less than 6ft of added conductor would not add any additional requirements related to AFCI. Utility outage would automatically shut down the solar anyway.
