How do I tell the rating of terminals, my CB says 40C on it. Also I will have a female receptacle,male cord plug.

It should be stamped 60C or 75C. If it is not stated then it is assumed to be 60C.

Most newer breakers are 75C. Some of the older ones have 60C stamped on them.

I have read somewhere (I believe it was in the UL book) the 40C degree means the breaker has been tested in a 40C environment. If I am not correct i am sure a member will set me straight.
