And the notes on 'Waterside' and 'East River' 'To NY Steam Load'.........for building heat maybe ?

Also curious how the 'Frequency Changers' worked..............

I'm kind of surprised at the amount of 25Hz, but assume that's almost all transit/railroad loads.
It's probably on there because it was built in the early 1900s or late 1800s when frequencies were not yet settled upon, and had not yet run out its long service life, so was easier at the time to keep it working as-is until it could be incrementally upgraded to 60 Hz.

Wonder why the 66 th Street generators are not shown connected to anything
I would guess that all of those plants had local feeders supplying the surrounding area, but not shown on the diagram. Maybe 66th St only served local loads, and wasn't connected to a tie line like the other plants
