Thanks to all of you , I guess it was sort of a silly question. They will still be needing us for quite some time.

I am not sure about a nuclear reactor at each home, but it wouldn't be much of a stretch to install fuel cell generators at each home. Power companies would be a thing of the past. Sort of what Edison envisioned with his low voltage DC systems at the turn of the last century. The more things change, the more they stay the same....

I know many of you can't fathom this, but what would you do if you were retired for over two months? I know Brian would be in his kayak, but what about the rest of you? Could any of you just quit the field and sell all of your tools and never look back???? Don't BS me, I know darned well you'd really miss it:cool:
Give me an honest answer.

I worked with an electrical Inspector in Md who was involved and devoted in every part of the electrical industry. When he retired, he never said goodby to one person. He left the area and never looked back. He is 100% removed from the electrical industry. Go figure!

In the year 2000.............

In the year 2000.............

Ok, so it's nearly 2009, but I got that from Conan O'Brian. Anyway, I live here in Texas and the wind power windmill industry is HUGE. They are going up like crazy. I also wish we could supply our own oil. If we could get the word out to enough people to VOTE

How would that help?

We would have to produce and transport hydrogen to each home.
