The post by Brother. Electrical economy stong in DC. Why was that not moved to Electrical Contracting? Instead, it was locked due to not electrically related. Heck we are talking about tires there:confused:

For what it's worth I sent a message to the person that started the tire thread about 4 hours ago asking them use some restraint in the threads they start. I decided not to close that thread as many members had already responded.

That said, the fact that some off topic threads remain is no excuse to let others go on. Don't inspectors always here 'So and so in that other town always lets me do that?'

There is no black and white way to determine what is off topic and what is not. It is all judgment calls and there is no way to moderate and keep all members happy.

Thanks Bob I was not stirring up trouble with The Forum or moderators. I just thought that yes there are a lot of people slow and out of work across the country. DC is going strong and very competitive only the strong will survive here with the extreme inrush of workers that we are currently experiencing.

FWIW Bothers thread is re-open in the contracting forum.

But as a message to everyone, please try to make sure threads you start fit the forum.

Rants, complaints, blowing off steam, etc. are not great thread topics.
