Slightly off topic but I am noticing 3 phase (full) delta showing up in lots of smaller commercial projects.
One single phase panel for L-N loads and one 3 phase panel for motors / pumps.
Do others notice this also?

I think it often depends on the area. Around Seattle area there are tons of high leg 120/240 open deltas. I dont recall ever seeing a closed one or a corner grounded. In upstate NY, the 120/240 three phase tends to be closed/full delta.

Around here (Bay Area) I've probably seen more high-leg deltas than wyes in small commercial. A lot of them are kind of post-industrial facilities that no longer even need/use the high leg. Even saw one that's been converted to a residence.
 
Zbang is correct. You will want to know if this is an open delta, which is a common 120/240V 3ph commercial setup. If it is then most likely the transformer on the split-phase is much larger than the other transformer used to make up the open delta. You will want to back feed the two legs that have actual transformers on them and if you have to you can put more on the split-phase transformer. In any case, you don't want to not overload any of the transformers.
