I've been reading the posts related to the transformers but I couldn't find something that could help me. Before I start doing all the calculations maibe one of the posters or mods have'd a similar problem to solve and can save me some time. Here is my dillema:
I have to feed 7 trailers. Each one has an AC Unit that draws 54 A (based on the name plate) with a double pole, 60 A/240/208 V into the panel (this is what I've been told:-? ). The rest of the load (receapt. and lighting ) are on the rest of the 5 single pole 120V/20A. I don?t have the main breaker size info that is in every panel
but I?m assuming is a 2 pole 100 A/240 V for each trailer. My question is: What size of 480/120/208V Three faze Transformer should I use to feed the distribution Panel that will be feed from the load side of transformer and will feed each one of the trailers, what should be the breaker and the feeder size for the Primary side of transformer that is located 300 Ft from the Main Distribution Board and what would be the breaker size for the secondary side of transformer assuming that each trailer has a load of 100 A? I have already (2) 2? existing conduit going into a vault which I?m suppose to use for transformer line feeder via the fused disconnect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
