It appears that the IEC is just a bunch of administrative standards with a reference at the end to use the NEC for the actual wiring work.

MA.seems to make up there own rules.Not going to judge them as why.I really wish we all could simply adopt nec for code cycle and pick Jan 1 st.Would like to think i could leave the nudist capitol of the world and go to any state (not MA.i hate the cold) and go to work without all the license requirements and code changes.Do electrons know what state they are in ?

You dont even need a license in FL, why are you worried about MA. for? :grin:
