So when you get to the house where do you park the van, do you ring the doorbell or do you knock, when the door is opened what do you do,do you ues their first name or their last ,what do you do before entering the house, what should you have with you?

Always park in the driveway, never in the lawn. Liability issue with damages to their property or the truck.

Doorbell first, wait, then knock.

My name is on the shirt and I start with my name. "Hi I'm __dan". If calling over the phone I use the last name until familiar. In person, first names.

If you're asking if I put on the booties and hair net, no. I do always check my boots for accumlated dirt tracking, wipe the boots on the mat, and am sure to wear boots that don't track a lot of dirt, for residential. If I'm ready for trouble, which is most days, I'm wearing the Doc Martin 7A459TE43 and let them do most of the talking.

I always have the Fenix LD40 light on the belt and usually hand carry a toolbelt with small cordless and the Fluke 87 for residential. The tool belt says "I'm ready to work". People love seeing my truck in the driveway. If it's not residential, I do not walk in with tools first thing, only the LD40 and coffee, in the days when I drank coffee.

So what's my score, 3, 4, 5 of 5 ?

we are needing to hire another tech for our next service van. I would like to do an add on the web but am not real familiar with sites to post job listings on. i know monster.com but google electric jobs and millions of sites to choose from. Has anyone used a site to find or post a job ? What are the top sites for electrician job searchers?

Rewire, this is the topic you chose for this thread. Stick to the topic.
