ok please learn me here I always thought 208v was on a stinger leg Y style with the middle point going to ground . Why or how do you get 208 on two legs wouldnt that be 240v? Thanks in advance
What frenchy said was correct. It's a 120/208 3-phase service. I'm going to go with a 208v 2 circuit SPST electronic timeclock, 208v rated coil and an electrically held 8 pole contactor. Any objections?

Honestly? There's no advantage to using 208 instead of 120 (except easier troubleshooting in the future, perhaps), and a couple of disadvantages: the timer might cost more, and the 2p breaker definitely will.

Your loads will still be supplied by four 2p breakers, obviously.

This is a change order and i'm trying to keep the price at a minimum for the customer. I can use one of the existing 2-pole breakers powering the lights to also power the time clock.
