Can anyone point me to a good electrical timer that is cost effective and is a hard wired type I can install around the service box. I am looking to add a timer for a few differant applications around a condo building. The lighting in the hallways are on all the time and are not on a daylight sensor or existing timer. The application is for a small load in two zones. The back outdoor lights on each of 4 levels and the front common hallway lights. Also the front outdoor light. All three are on thier own breaker.

Any that can handle zones?
 
Check out this Astronomic "smart" photo cell. I used one to control a sign. On at dusk - off at midnight - on at 6 am - off at sunrise, or whatever. Resets itself based on sunrise and sunset and timezone.

Astronomic has a few meanings, one having to do with stars, the other of enormous magnitude. While describing one of these clocks my customer stops me and says, "Wait, how much does this thing cost?" :D

Anyway you can get to a decent Astronomic clock on the same site minuteman posted above, throw 'em on a relay from a single circuit clock, or get a multi-circuit clock. This one is pricey but not bad for what it does: http://www.intermatic.com/?action=subcat&sid=239

You need to check the building code...some require hallway lighting 100% of the time.

Some states such as mine (CA) have Energy Code requirements for lighting controls, both indoor and outdoor. Good luck. Steve
