The isolation transformer that I am using is very heavy and it is a very efficient toroid design.
Does anyone know of a more efficient design or way to make a lighter unit?

Sizes are,3, 4, 7.5 and 12.5 KVA
The 3 weighs 40lbs and the 12.5 weighs 145lbs.

It's the weight that makes them so good. The more ferrite core material, the better.

Better coupling between the magnetic field created in the primary and the secondary windings into which you are trying to induce a magnetic field.
