Remodeling an old office with tin ceilings. Customer wants wiremold for wiring method. I have put up a few track lights to replace existing ceiling lighting in other properties. The ones I used tied into a j box recessed in ceiling typically octogan used for light fixtures. My delima is how would you transfer from surface raceway to recess j box
Thanks

Run your wire mold to about 8" away from where you want your recessed fixture box, and set a wire mold j-box there. Then fish out of the back of your wire mold box to your recessed j-box

Works like a champ

They do make a wiremold to track connector.

They also make a wiremold to flex connector.

I'll see if I can locate a link.

They call them live end feeds.
If you are running from one to another then you need a pair for in and out.

Get a live end for the track that accepts 1/2" pipe--

Use the fitting mentioned above or use this one. I prefer the one above

We call this a mouse

Thanks for the help. Didn't realize track lighting live ends with 1/2 ko existed..have used the mouse and male adapter on other applications,
thanks again

Surprisingly Lowes and Home Depot stock this track end. Of course they are listed for their tracks but I am sure all brands make them

emt wins over wiremold

emt wins over wiremold

update..thanks for all the help.
Upon meeting again with customer, they decided on exposed 3/4 thinwall conduit and paint ceiling and conduit at same time, I'm using live ends with 1/2 ko's and mounting with mineralac straps.
Should look good when finished
