I was working with one of our control tech, we were troubleshooting a 120Vac valve. When testing the circuit, I told him he needed to wear his voltage gloves...with a brief argument he complied...but came back the next day and told me he was taking a PLC class and he asked his instructor if gloves were needed...the instructor said no!! I'm sending a letter to the trade school informing them of the NFA70E requirements and suggesting they include 70E in as part the training program.

Throw this one at him. Where in the real world does he plan on finding a PLC? He'll be testing 480V terminals in a real panel as well as 120V. In class, they should be practicing as though they were in the worst case, not in a lab.
