I have 200 amp service with a 100 amp transfer switch. I had a 12kw generator that I am replacing with a 22kw. Can I still use my existing 100 amp transfer switch? I don’t want to upgrade to a 200 amp unless it necessary.

As long as the load isn't more than 91 amps. I assume the generator has a 90 amp overcurrent protective device. Btw, are you an electrician or a homeowner?
 
I own the home but working with an electrician. He said it would be fine but I like to double check anything electrical!
