Hi
I am working with US Navy, Djibouti. Here I came up with a small design issue. Here we have a new expansion (entry control gate) going to start. We have a 11 KV to 400 V(2000KVA) substation about 300 meter away from the new site. When I checked the design drawings, I found that from this substation another 11 KV is going to the new site and stepping down to 400 V by 150 KVA transformer via 350 MCM cable. My question is why can't we take the power directly from the 400 A spare breaker existing in the existing substation. Is the voltage drop will be in acceptable level? Thanks in advance...
