The only change in 250.64(E) between 2005 and 2008 was the adding of the following words in the 2008 code. These were the last part of the now missing 250.92(A)(3).

Bonding shall apply at each end and to all intervening ferrous raceways, boxes, and enclosures between the cabinets or equipment and the grounding electrode.

There is nothing in the wording of 250.64(E) that requires something other than standard locknuts for bonding of the GEC raceway to the enclosure. The missing wording from 250.92(A)(3) required that at service equipment in the 2005 code, but I don't see anything to require that for the 2008 code.
