I was in a building the other day making a online diagram of the buildings Standby generator when I came across this transformer in an electrical closet. there is a three pole 480 volt CB feeding this and the secondary overcurrent protection is in a server room aout 50' away on the other side of the hall. I beleive this is in violation.

Another crazy thing about this installation is that the secondary is 208 single phase with the neutral and my question is this a violation. This is a standard 3 phase delta to wye dry type transformer. BTW it is the system on the left that this is about

Joe - what sections do you think are being violated?

I was thinking as far as the secondary protection being 50' or so away that this is a violation of 240.21(C). As far as the single phase power being obtained from the three phase transformer that is the part I am stuck on. Is this a code issue or in some way unsafe?

Oh right. For most of the stuff I work, (2005)240.92 applies.

I don't see anything unsafe, or against code. I am suprised they did that. Makes one wonder why.
