Can you feed multiple panels from the same transformer. I am under the impression that you can only tap the load side one time.

Also if that panel has a main lug do you need a disconnect.

You can run conductors to multiple loads, however they must all start at the transformer. The conductors need to be protected which usually requires them to terminate in a single overcurrent device.

Everything depends on which part of article 240, you are using for sizing and locating your protective devices.
 
Yoy can feed multiple panels with seperate conductors(taps). This was made clearer in the 2008 NEC with change in
240.21(C) "A set of conductors feeding a single load, or each set of conductors feeding seperate loads, shall be permitted to be connected to a transformer secondary"
 
In regard to "main lug" vs "main breaker/fuses" you need to look at the various conditioons listed under 240.21(C). Some applications require you to terminate in a "single device", some applications allow a "series of devices".
