Interesting that you bring up the original design for the service being 400 amp single phase 120/240 volt. Per the site investigation report we obtain for each site the existing service voltage was 120/240 volt single phase. So if you would like to discuss that would be fine but this is the information which we received. Bad information in bad information out.....

O no ..I'm sorry you misunderstood what I was saying ..

The 400 amp 120/240 volt single phase service was fine. However finding or having the two spec'd 6 Ton 120/240 volt single phase rooftop units custom made would have been the issue.

The HVAC contractor said anything above 5 Tons can only be gotten in 3 phase .. :-?

The information in was fine, the information out was confusing, I guess the HVAC design guy should have passed that AC 6 ton info on.
