I have a project in a retail building where a tenant space is fed from a 480V service disconnect about 200 feet away.

I am putting a 75KVA transformer in the tenant space, with the primary disconnect being the remote service disconnect, and will label the transformer with the location of the lockable primary disconnect per 450.14.

I would like for the transformer to feed a main breaker panelboard in a room directly adjacent to the transformer room (less than 25 feet run). This would put the transformer within 25 feet of the secondary overcurrent protection, but the overcurrent protection would not be within sight of the transformer.

Is there anything in the code saying the secondary disconnect has to be within sight of the transformer, even when it complies with the 25 foot rule of 240.21(C)(6)?

The secondary, as planned, should not be a Code problem
You might review 240.24(B) in regard to the location of the primary protection.
