If your looking for the basic formula to convert amps to kva then you can use: amps x ( volts x 1.73 ) = va divided by 1000 = kva.

Service size and transformer size usually are not matched. EX. poco set up 25KVA 120/240 full amp 104 serving a 400 amp service.

thanks rick left code book in my job trailer and am not going back till monday
