Trap conduit?

Hate to seem dumb but this one just sorta flew by me... a spec section of our contract says "do not trap conduit". Can anyone define what that means?

Thats when you bend a 90 and go right in to an off set. We some times call it a goose neck.

If you look elsewhere in your spec's. it might also say a minimum seperation in relation to other services.

I've heard this, and read this before!

Does it not mean that we will not creat an obvious obstruction of a non serviciable nature!
