When running Instrument wire, RTD wire, and THermocouple wire to a local panel, outside in a gas plant, is it necesarry to run Tray Type Cable?
The area is Class I DIV II and may not necessarly run conduit on Skids or Equipment, simply from instruments to a local panel using racks, from there the conduit runs to the control room in conduit racks.

You didn't say whether you were actually running the "wire" in cable tray. If run in cable tray, it must be a permitted wiring method. Refer to Article 727 Instrumentation Tray Cable: Type ITC
