What is the proper trench depth for conduits? I thought it was 18" below grade for low voltage and 24" for high voltage. I received a correspondence for someone talking about 18" below rough grade and 24" below top of rock or pavement.

Re: Trench depth for conduits

it may be that the local POCO has their own set of specs. my district requires 30" burial depth for underground service conduits.

Re: Trench depth for conduits

The ditch will always be two times one half the depth. :p

36 inches is the required depth for PGE service conduits, in Oregon.

Bennie, you are weird. Didn't you know that the ditch will always be four times one quarter of the depth? :D
