Residential duplex service change coming up.

Installing 2, 200 amp 1ph, all in one exterior mounted services, replacing old fuse boxes.

Can I use the same (2) ground rods for both service panels which are mounted side by side? Logic says yes. Code says..........?

I assume that the 2 separate gas and water piping will be bonded to the appropriate panel with jumpers if one piping system happens to go thru the others space.

It's ONE service, grounding electrode system for ONE service.

To clarify......

Two units+two meters+two panels+two risers=two sets of service conductors= one service?

One srevice drop feeding two or ten sets of service entrance conductors is still one service,.... if that is in fact what you have.:-?

220/221,

All of this service equipment is on the same side of the building, correct ?

From the POCO to the building there is one overhead service drop connecting

to your two 200a risers, yes ? If so, this is one service. You are allowed up

to six risers.
