I just wanted to let you folks know that these things work great for residential ,..I just replaced eight nasty floor receptacles ,..you know standard old work with a standard metal cover , all filled up with dog hair lint and dirt.

The house was built in 1765, so not exactly standard construction ,..slick and easy with this system ,..the house is so old and dry,.. a wood rasp was about all I needed to enlarge the cutout... the bottom bracket is for old work ,..but if you have access to the basement the new work bracket can also be used ,...with a little imagination:)

Almost forgot ,.. they cost me a bout $40.00 each

I envy you guys when you talk about basements. Here in the swamp we only have slab on grade construction with concrete block exterior walls. Very few exceptions.
Some older houses, 1920s to 1950s is old, you can expect to find a 24" or so crawl space.

That looks like a Carlon product. Do you have a part #? Thanks

Ya! give us a name, your just being a tease MD.

Those are the exact same floor boxes I use also. I don't like the one you picture with the Ivory plastic cover, however, as they have caused a couple call-backs for me. I pick the solid brass cover, and have had better results. Part #B121BFBB

Marc, I hear what you are saying about the plastic but these folks balked at the idea of a $45.00 price tag for the new fangled thing,... plus the arc fault breaker then the "why do you have to make the Hole bigger???"

There are no children and they are not quite as active as they once were so in this case this was a great choice and I'm glad that they offer the cheap plastic one:)
