I am a home inspector in Texas and I just came accross a Trilliant Home Power system in a home built in 1992. I was just wondering if these systems are ok or if there has ever been any reported problems. The home has 200 amp service coming in and everything looks ok, I just have never seen this sort of system before. Thanks

I believe it was put out by Sq D. I installed one years ago it was sold as time saver on installs with the way you installed the RX in the built in clips. It never really took off. We had to dig the packaging material out of the dumpster because the inspector wanted to see if was listed

Probably considered the Edsel of the industry. Haven't heard of any specific problems but the homeowners will have problems if they plan on adding any circuits down the line. Any breakers that might be available are available only through "surplus" supply houses (at least that's been my experience). In addition, you probably won't find a full compliment of breaker sizes either.

Other than being obsolete and nearly impossible to find parts, I have never heard anything much about them.
Thanks for the quick response. You were very helpful.
