How do you transition from overhead triplex to the interior wiring at a building just using an insulated wire holder ? (not using a riser) I've done a few but not sure what is the best way... Thanks !

Well since a disconnect is required, and it can be a switch, I would probably put a junction box on the building and run the conductors into it. Then make your splice/transition in the JB and in to the building via conduit down to a box containing the switch.

So, it's ok to run the triplex conductors into a junction box on the garage ? I'm sure I've done that before, I was checking if that's acceptable. Thanks.

The bare wire was actually cut at the insulator, they left just enough of it to fasten but no wire available to use as a ground. The house had no grounds.
We re wired the old house and will have to re wire the garage too, it's rigged...
Why can't you just split bolt on to the bare wire? There is no requirement it be done after the insulator.

The conductors used for overhead triplex are not an NEC accepted wire type. They should not be extended in a raceway.

Grounding electrode system is not required for a single branch circuit only for a feeder/service.

I believe you handle it just like a service. Attach the triplex to both buildings. Run UF or SE up and use split bolts or other approved water resistant connector and make a drip loop on both ends
